Ya comenzamos con el Taller de Carnaval que
involucra tanto a niños/as como madres. Rumbo a la preparación del festejo carnavalero hemos sido invitados/as por la murga Los Descontrolados de Alberdi, la cual es la encargada de organizar el Corso en barrio Alberdi donde participarán otros grupos. Mediante la elaboración de máscaras y canciones nos preparamos para estar presentes en la plaza Jerónimo del Barco donde se hará la fiesta. Junto a la agrupación "Defendamos Alberdi. Movimiento por la conservación del patrimonio histórico de barrio Alberdi" estamos en los preparativos de una performance teatral en torno alo que representa para el barrio la caída de la chimenea de la Ex Cervecería Córdoba que es sólo un símbolo representativo de la cantidad de demoliciones de espacios históricos y patrimoniales del barrio.
Carnaval, ¡allá vamos!

Well, we have started with the carnival drama workshop which involves children as well as mothers. We are getting ready to celebrate together with “los Descontrolados de Alberdi” (the reckless ones from Alberdi)– a band of street musicians – who are in charge of organizing the carnival parade and who have kindly invited us, and other groups to participate.
Through the elaboration of masks and songs we will get ready for the show which will be held in the neighborhood’s square Jerónimo del Barco. We will also carry out a drama performance with the group “Defendamos Alberdi. Movimiento por la conservación del patrimonio histórico de barrio Alberdi" (Let’s defend Alberdi – Alberdi’s Heritage Conservation movement). Such performance will be about the impact that the Ex Cervecería Córdoba (former Cordoba brewery) chimney’s fall had on the whole neighborhood. This event is representative of the mind-boggling number of building and heritage sites demolitions that have taken, and are currently taking place all around the neighborhood.
